Gloria Rodgers brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to her work on Summit County Council
Gloria proudly represents Summit County citizens as a no-nonsense, principled, consistent conservative on issues of vital importance. She has demonstrated an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of politicians. Gloria is passionate about maintaining strong family values, working to protect taxpayers, and controlling the size of government.
Gloria has worked as a nurse for over 40 years in Summit County. She is active in the community, church and civic groups and is a lifelong resident of Summit County. She and her husband Bill have two adult children.
Gloria is actively involved in several important County Council committees including the following:
— Committee of the Whole
— Finance Committee
— Public Works Committee
— Long Term Planning Committee
At the County level, Gloria serves on the following:
— Child Fatality Review Board of Summit County
— Fetal Infant Mortality Rate Case Review Board
— Akron Zoological Park Board of Directors
On the State level, Gloria is Chairman of the Metropolitan and Regional Affairs Committee, for County Commissioner.s Association of Ohio (CCAO). She also serves on the Ohio Jail Advisory Board as a representative of CCAO.

As a nurse and councilwoman, Gloria’s commitment to our community is unmatched. I have served alongside Gloria on the Summit County Opiate and Addiction taskforce where she advocates for evidence-based treatment options and holds treatment providers accountable.
Gloria continually fights for the vulnerable in our community while ensuring stewardship of our tax dollars. Gloria Rodgers has proven to our community that she deserves four more years in office.

On Tuesday evening, my husband Bill and I attended a fundraiser with several regional candidates. Don Robart started by discussing several Summit-County Ohio issues and our plans for the future. Attendees included Mary Stormer, Judge Allison McCarty, Jim Iona, Ron and Sue Koehler, Judge Lisa Coates, and Judge Katrina Cook.

Gloria has served on Summit County Council, representing District 3, since 2009. She has served on the Finance Committee and as Vice Chair of Public Safety.
Gloria has more than 40 years of small business experience, and she is active in community, church and civic groups. She has an exceptional record of volunteer service to help those in need.
Gloria works to protect taxpayers and supports reducing and controlling the size of government. She firmly believes that government has a responsibility to be fiscally prudent with taxpayers money.
